Shall we just leave it at this point and summarise.
Sewer has a vastly superior intellect to the rest of us because he understands that thousands of people carried out an inside job on 9/11 rather than a bunch of muslim nutters,, and we don't.. He is not at all a crazy cunt, talking out of his arse.
Most of the rest of us are naive, spoon-fed idiots for swallowing the official story. Those who point out flaws in his beliefs are thick and nowhere near as intelligent as sewer.

If an opposing view is absurd and completely evidence-free then ridicule is a reasonable response.
The challenge to truthers is to progress beyond youtube videos, radio phone-ins and blogs, to actually put forward a case that presents genuine evidence. If they could spend the next 15 years working towards that there might be something to talk about. As it stands the arguments are incoherent and worthless.

The irony of that post is just terrific, given that you believers are like 5 yr old kids with hands slapped firmly to the ears shouting nenenene, when an opposing view is uttered, and so completely unable to remotely consider being mistaken.
Then, the believers assumption, that anyone with a view different to their own on 9/11 is deranged to the point that every event in the world will not be accepted as reported.
My guess would be those Chechen types again and so an internal Russian problem, but if it was an Arab outfit kicking back in response to the Syrian situation, what is the starting point for all that grief, oh yeah, so maybe not unrelated!!

Northern, does a lot of blinkered folk with sheep mentality shouting "nutcase" and refusing to answer basic questions constitute a massacre, not in my book.
I have asked a number of very legitimate questions after the last few days, including yourself yesterday ref the 3 x Titanics and they are just not responded to, beyond "loony" etc.
kc, yes I am very aware of the height of the towers I remember being on the viewing tower many moons ago, a view that you should really only get from an aircraft, not a building, those poor souls stuck and having to leap doesn't bare thinking about.
Anyway kc, we clearly consider each other and our opinions to be moronic, so let's not bother!

who said anything about fireballs ? it could have been a piece of burning debris, which hardly constitutes a "fireball hurled 100 yards". you do realise that WTC 1 is 100 storeys high ? do you seriously believe that a piece of debris couldn't travel 100 yards ? even if the debris (sorry, a fireball) wasn't on fire, maybe the debris caused an electrical fire, or a fuel-line leak from a backup generator fuel tank (although NIST has discounted a fuel leak, as there was no black smoke).
who should I trust - some crackpot on WHO, who freely admits that he does not possess any engineering understanding OR a bunch of engineers who worked on the MIST report, with doctorates. masters and bachelor degrees from MIT and elsewhere ?
if you don't believe it, then fine, but please, shut the fuck up and stop telling us that we are wrong.

I'm assuming you think that it was 'just' that OJ Simpson was acquitted? Despite all the evidence against him there was apparently 'reasonable doubt' that was enough for him to walk, added to a massively biased jury whose mindset probably wasn't far removed from a conspiracy theorists.

Rio, blimey mate, technical stuff which is not an area of my knowledge and so I absolutely accept your pointers that there were reasons why iWT7 could have collapsed as told.
But using the court room scenario, isn't it like the prosecution stating an "unlikely event" could have happened, in isolation but the defence countering that 3 extremely unlikely events all occurring in the same case creates reasonable doubt.
Reasonable doubt is where I have always been with this episode, I remember in the days following thinking that it all seemed a bit tricky to believe and a thought process goes from there and I have always found the "truth" very difficult to accept.
All I am really asking on this thread is if those we a different view might think that either it is all totally plausible or yes agree, there are some oddities which are not too easy to believe.

There was a very good documentary a few years ago explaining in great detail exactly what caused the towers to collapse. None of the details in the documentary were ever disproven and all made logical sense.
There are some things you should consider when discussing "molten metal" at the WTC site. You keep quoting the melting of steel. There would have been a lot of other metals present, notably aluminium and copper. Aluminium, would have passed its melting point at the temperature that aviation fuel burns at.
There are also other considerations, such as cross-connection of services in the area and their corresponding heat transfers.
Further, all electrical conductors/insulators have varying thermal properties; certain conductors can begin to behave quite strangely when heated to a high temperature. Older cables (insulation) would not survive an ordinary house fire and as their insulation broke down would begin to short circuit with adjacent neutral and earth conductors.
The final consideration is the fire stopping on the steelwork in WTC. It was past its normal lifecycle, and reports had been produced sometime before the event recommending re-treatment.

kch, yes you're right, hands up, it's all a totally plausible explanation, fiireballs hurled 100 yds from one previously collapsed building,( which didn't explode of course) and embedding themselves into another and then burning to the point where without any degradation, it suddenly drops in 7 seconds. All makes sense now, thank god NIST were able to clear it all up for us!!
